  • The Murrumbidgee Primary Healthcare Awards are open to all members of the community who have delivered a project, activity or program within a community or communities in the Murrumbidgee region. The project, activity or program is required to have had the majority of the activity conducted during July 2022 and June 2023 to a community or communities in the Murrumbidgee region.

  • There are four categories for the 2023 Primary Healthcare Awards. More information for each is available by clicking each category.

  • All activities eligible for an award must meet the following pre-requisites:

    • the majority of the activity undertaken during July 2022 - June 2023; and

    • the activity targeted a community or communities within the Murrumbidgee region.

  • Yes, anyone who has previously applied for a Murrumbidgee Primary Healthcare Award in any category is eligible to apply for the 2023 awards. If you’ve submitted your activity to another awards program, you are also eligible to apply.

  • Submissions must be lodged by midnight Sunday 3 September 2023.

  • An on-demand briefing session will be made available shortly.

    If you are connected with an MPHN staff member, you are also encouraged to ask them any questions as required.

    You can also submit questions to be addressed as part of the briefing session. Please email them to awards@mphn.org.au.

  • As part of your application you will be asked to upload any feedback, testimonials, or other evidence to support your nomination. This evidence is to support the success of the activity, and will constitute 25 marks in the evaluation. Please refer to the judging evaluation criteria for more details. These are available under each award category.

  • To help us prepare for a short video package to be shown on the night of the awards presentation, we are requesting photos and video as part of the application process. These are not mandatory, but will assist in promoting your activity should you be a category finalist or winner. You will only be able to upload one file in the entry form, so please email additional files to awards@mphn.org.au with your activity and award category clearly identified.

  • Entries will open in the from 12 July 2023. Applications are submitted via entry form located here. Please note, there is a save and complete later function on this form. You will be required to save a copy or email the link to ensure you are able to return to the application form. Links cannot be retrieved by MPHN and applications will need to be restarted.

    All entries must be received by midnight on Sunday 3 September 2023.

  • Applications will be assessed using an evaluation form for each award category. These forms are available on the relevant award category pages. The judging panel will include two MPHN Board Directors and an MPHN Executive member. Each application is judged on merit against the stated criteria and the judge’s decision is final.

  • In addition to recognition during the 2023 MPHN awards presentation with MPHN members, MPHN will issue a media release to a large number of media outlets announcing award recipients.

    The 2023 Murrumbidgee Primary Healthcare Awards are a fantastic way to receive community-wide acknowledgement for the work you do.

  • Award winners will be announced 10 November 2023 at the 2023 Murrumbidgee Primary Healthcare Awards presentation and dinner which will be held at The Rules Club in Wagga. All finalists will be eligible to bring five guests on the night.

  • If you submit an application, you will be asked to confirm your availability to attend the awards presentation on 10 November 2023. If you are unable to attend, please include your delegate. All finalists are encouraged to attend the event and five tickets will be provided to each finalist.
