Enhancing Paediatrics in Primary Care

The Enhancing Paediatrics in Primary Care (EPiPC) program provides support to General Practitioners to care for children within the Murrumbidgee region who are experiencing behavioural and/or developmental concerns. This program employs a Community Paediatrician to provide an advisory support service to help GPs identify and appropriately manage these children within the primary care setting. The program aims to increase GP confidence and skill in providing initial developmental screening and assessment at an earlier stage for children they see in their practice. Recommendations regarding appropriate interventions and therapy that can be initiated in the primary care setting will be provided by the Community Paediatrician.

The email support service is available to all GPs in the Murrumbidgee region for specific queries regarding children with behavioural and/or developmental concerns. For email support from the Community Paediatrician, GPs can complete the following proforma and fax or email their query to the following: FAX to (02) 69339268 or EMAIL to MLHD-CCH@health.nsw.gov.au.

If no response received within 2 weeks, please contact <MLHD-CCH@health.nsw.gov.au> directly to ensure Clinical Query has been received.
