Celebrating community impact: MPHN's Annual Report unveils achievements

Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) today released its Annual Report for 2022/23, which encapsulates MPHN’s achievements in fostering health and wellbeing across its 508 communities.

MPHN CEO Melissa Neal said the Annual Report highlights the organisation’s dedication to innovation, provider and community engagement, research, service delivery, system integration, and collaboration.

“I continue to be inspired by our employees, our primary healthcare clinicians and workforce, and the people who comprise our communities,” Ms Neal said.

“It is certainly an honour and a privilege to lead an organisation with such a strong history created over the past 30 years.”

The report highlights a remarkable 38 percent increase in financial revenue, enabling MPHN to deliver $3.2 million in grants and significantly expand its healthcare services.

Key achievements include a 52 percent increase in mental health services, a 25 percent increase in allied health services, and almost 15,000 occasions of service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Ms Neal said the initiation of partnerships with universities to explore new research opportunities was a precursor for ongoing collaboration.

“I look forward to continuing to work with our key stakeholders and employees in the coming year as we progress future activities under our 2023-2027 Strategic Plan and focus on making a difference to the lives of both the primary health workforce and our communities."

The 2023 Annual Report, along with the 2022-23 Financial Statements, is now available.
