How healthy is Henty? Have your say

Henty residents have an opportunity to impact the future of their community’s health by attending Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN)’s upcoming ‘Conversations on the Couch’ session.

The relaxed drop-in session will be held at Henty Bakery on Thursday 27 April 2023 between 10am and 12pm.

Senior Manager Population Health Planning and Data Dr Jason Bennie said Conversations on the Couch is an ideal opportunity for residents and local health professionals to chat with MPHN staff about health in their community.

“There are no set questions, we’re happy for you to let us know what’s on your mind,” Dr Bennie said.

“For example, do you have any concerns about health in your community, have you noticed a pattern, or is there an issue you would like to see addressed?

“Often, we know what data is telling us about the health needs of the Murrumbidgee, but it’s also important to understand what local people are experiencing.

“Your feedback will help us identify any new or emerging issues we need to consider as we plan future services and initiatives for your region.”

Residents who are unable to attend Conversations on the Couch can still share their feedback via a quick community feedback survey at mphn.org.au/hna

Henty Local Health Advisory Committee Chair Mary Liston said Conversations on the Couch is an exciting initiative that will give voice to the community’s health concerns.

“I would like to see as many locals as possible pop into the Henty Conversations on the Couch event,” Ms Liston said.

“It’s our chance to share our experiences and make a difference in the health of our community; and the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network are well-placed to advocate on our behalf.”

The Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) supports the local primary healthcare sector and improves health outcomes, particularly for at-risk populations.
